Climatic conditions

Winter was, overall, cold and wet. Budburst took place in good conditions. Spring was extremely wet and rainy. Despite unfavourable weather conditions, flowering was fast, homogeneous, and free of shot berries. Sustained rainfall continued until early summer. Conditions were highly favourable for mildew development, which was controlled by work in the vineyard.

The summer ended with high temperatures and a lack of water, placing the vines under water stress. Tannin synthesis was consequently ideal. September was perfect for grape ripening.

Vintage presentation

2018 is an exceptional vintage.

From the vine to the glass

Harvesting began on September 3rd. Sauvignon quality was exceptional, with fine acidity in the berries and aromas of ripe fruit for added complexity. Sauvignon aroma propagators were extracted, thanks to light skin maceration of a few hours. Cold fermentation preserved all the potential and complexity of the vintage’s aromas. Maturing on lees with some stirring, revealed the length on the palate and fleshiness of this wine.

Tasting Notes

“Lemon pale, very good expression of Sauvignon Blanc and also of the vineyard, good depth and freshness, very good in its AOC.”
